Andrew Cautley
Andrew is a registered General Dentist and Prosthodontist. He was first appointed to the Dental Council in November 2019 and has been the Chair of Council since February 2022. After graduating with a BDS from the University of Otago in 1983 Andrew practiced in New Zealand and England, before returning to NZ to complete his MDS in Restorative Dentistry in 1991 from The University of Otago. He has practices in Nelson and Wellington and is also a part-time Consultant in Prosthodontics at Hutt Hospital. Andrew has 40 year’s clinical experience across both the private and public sector and has had his own private specialist practice since 1994. He has lectured widely in New Zealand and overseas, covering a range of subjects in the field of prosthodontics. Andrew is an active member of the New Zealand Dental Association, including past executive board member and President of Nelson Branch of New Zealand Dental Association.
