New Zealand Dental Association
Auckland (on-site)
Part-time · 10 hrs/week, flexible. Grows to 20 hrs by Nov 2026

About us
The New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) is growing its vocational training team. We're looking for a motivated and organised Vocational Training Coordinator to join us in Auckland and help deliver high-quality training programmes for New Zealand's dental support workforce.

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this is a part-time, on-site role starting at 10 hours per week, with flexibility in how those hours are arranged across the week. The role is planned to grow to 20 hours per week by November 2026. It sits at the heart of our vocational training operations, coordinating the day-to-day running of NZDA's Dental Assistant, Dental Receptionist, and Dental Practice Manager courses, and working closely with our Senior Vocational Training Manager, regional facilitators, workplace supervisors, and course development partner, Sysdoc.

What you'll do
• Coordinate course operations across NZDA's vocational training programmes.
• Liaise with regional facilitators, workplace supervisors, and external education agencies.
• Maintain and update vocational training content on the NZDA website and LMS (Brightspace).
• Support course development, reviews, and the rollout of the NZDA Vocational Training Pathway.
• Monitor student learning requirements and outcomes.
• Contribute to monthly Board reporting, e-news content, and the NZDA Roadmap.
• Support sponsorship and revenue diversification initiatives.

What we're looking for
• Experience in vocational training coordination or a similar administrative role, ideally within the dental sector.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, able to build relationships across a wide stakeholder network.
• Proficient across the Microsoft Office suite.
• Self-directed and proactive, you take initiative and follow through.
• An NZDA Certificate in Dental Assisting is advantageous.

Why NZDA?
We've supported dentists and the dental profession since 1905. Joining us means being part of a small, professional team making a genuine difference to oral health outcomes for New Zealanders. You'll have variety, purpose, and the opportunity to grow into an expanded role.

To apply: Send your CV and a cover letter telling us why this role appeals to you to [email protected] by Friday 19 June 2026. Please include "Vocational Training Coordinator" in your subject line.
