We have all experienced the situation. Patients will present with heavily worn down teeth, multiple missing teeth or they are simply seeking to improve their smile when their teeth are clearly in the wrong position due to agenesis or aplasia. You may already be taking on complicated cases, or you may work in a rural region where there is no nearby specialist support, or perhaps you don’t wish to take on such cases, but you want to know more about what is involved and how it is done. In this 1-day program, Michael will explain how we treat the complex case. He will cover how to treatment plan

Learning outcomes

– Concepts of treatment planning and record gathering, in order to arrive at a diagnosis and ideal treatment plan for the patient. – How to perform a diagnostic mock-up to communicate the case to your patient and to the laboratory. – Tips and tricks that can make or break these cases. There will also be a live patient demonstration and a hands-on exercise, for participants to learn how to perform a diagnostic mock-up, as well as how to properly assess a case and present it to their patient.

Dr Michael Mandikos Prothodontist

Dr. Mandikos is a registered specialist in Prosthodontics. Michael received his Bachelor of Dental Science Degree with First Class Honours, from the University of Queensland and in 1998 he completed a three-year Residency Program at the State University of New York at Buffalo (USA), graduating with a Certificate in Prosthodontics and Masters Degree in Biomaterials. He has researched composite resin materials and published research papers in Australian and international journals on clinical and dental materials topics, as well as many clinical technique articles in local dental magazines.
