Porcelain Veneers

This course provides training in the planning and delivery of porcelain veneer restorations. The hands-on program systematically covers the complete workflow from aesthetic rehabilitation planning to restoration delivery, and utilises a diverse range of resources, including 3D printed models based on actual patients. Dentists will receive the ProsMate, an innovative veneer stand, digital templates for smile design, burs for veneer preparations, a waiting room book for patient education, and learn the Split-Key Technique developed by Dr Alan Yap for the fabrication of provisional veneers. Early registration is recommended as this course has sold out on every occasion, with a recent course selling out within 48 hours of registrations opening.

A/Prof Alan Yap BDS (Syd), MDSc Hons (Pros)(Syd), FAANZP, ITI Fellow

Alan earned the Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master of Dental Science in Prosthodontics with Honours, at the University of Sydney. Following postgraduate studies he was awarded the International Team for Implantology Scholarship to attend the Department of Periodontics at the University of North Carolina where he received full-time training in implant surgery and grafting. Alan was awarded Fellowship to the International Team for Implantology, Fellowship to the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists, and Membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He holds the title of Assistant Professor for the University of Hong Kong and Clinical Lecturer for the University of Sydney. Alan is a mentor for the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) program at the University of Sydney, mentor for the Postgraduate Diploma of Dental Implantology at Charles Sturt University, examiner for the ITI Diploma, Chair of the Education and Research Committee of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, director of North Shore ITI Study Club, and registered speaker for the International Team for Implantology. Alan was by nomination a Member of the Planning Committee of Continuing Education in Dentistry at the University of Sydney and served as a Federal Executive of the Australian Prosthodontic Society and Member of the Executive Committee of the Australasian Osseointegration Society. He was a lecturer and examiner in Prosthodontics for final year dental students at the University of Sydney. His research on dental implants in patients with tooth agenesis, and his research on maxillary bone has been published in the International Journal of Prosthodontics and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants. His research presentation won first prize in the 8th Biennial Conference of the Australasian Osseointegration Society. He is a reviewer for the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants and a contributor to the textbook "Oral Rehabilitation: A Case-Based Approach." Alan is the managing director of CREED CE and convenor for the marquee courses Porcelain Veneers, Implant Prosthodontics, Prosthodontics for Periodontists, and Dental Photography.
