Rosemary Kennedy, Patricia Niland and Karen Drummond from ACC will present the background and context. The expert representatives of the NZDA who had input into this guidance, Drs Gil Watson, Mike Gordon, and Jim Talbot will be present to answer any clinical questions or give examples to illustrate the guidance in this document.

Rosemary Kennedy has worked in dental and maxillofacial in Corporate Office for 24 years as a conduit point for dental providers. Much of the of the development work has come from dentists’ feedback to provide the clinical tools for the frontline.
Patricia Niland PHD is a clinical knowledge advisor in ACC’s Clinical Governance team. Patricia researches the evidence bases and best practice treatments and interventions to help ACC clients to recover from injury.
Karyn Drummond has worked at ACC for over 25 years. Much of this time has been working on the frontline, of which approximately 15 years managing dental claims. Recently I had the opportunity to step into the role of Clinical Quality Advisor where I had the pleasure of working with both internal and external parties to progress the competition of TMD Consideration Factors, before moving into my new role as Operational Policy Advisor.
