Interestingly most referrals from dentists mention their hygienists picking up the ‘pink spots’ at the cement-enamel junctions. It is important that dental professionals are aware of this phenomenon as early diagnosis and intervention are associated with better outcomes.
For dental professionals to be able to diagnosis the condition early as this will lead to earlier intervention and better outcomes.
Howard graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with first class honours in 2013 from the University of Otago. He practised in Auckland prior to his return to Dunedin for his specialist training.
