Basil graduated with his BDS from the University of Otago in 2001. He worked 2 years as a general dentist in Queensland, hthen in Auckland for several years before completing his Clinical Doctorate in Prosthodontics in 2011. He took up the position of Senior Lecturer in Dental Biomaterials Science at Otago, He supervised Clinical Doctorate, PhD and Masters candidates. He now has a Prosthodontic Practice in Auckland.
