This course provides an opportunity for general dental practitioners to develop their knowledge and confidence surrounding the principles and techniques of nonsurgical and surgical extractions. Open to new graduates and experienced clinicians, this course is designed to equip you to provide effective, efficient, and safe care which you can utilise in everyday practice. This course is not specific to third molar surgery, but the concepts taught will be able to be applied to third molars. Small Group Sessions: Practical, small group discussions of clinical cases and x-rays and interactive treatment planning. Participants may bring radiographs of cases for discussion. Soo-Wee is a specialist oral surgeon in full-time private practice in Dunedin, NZ. Having previously been a general dentist for nearly 10 years, he understands the daily struggles of carrying out oral surgery during the day, especially when the patient has been “fitted in' between other appointments! Carrying out stress free and efficient exodontia is not an easy task, and the responsibility does not always just falls on the dentist, but requires a team approach to provide the best outcome for your patients. Building confidence in oral surgery require dedication and perseverance, but the journey can be fun, fulfilling and extremely rewarding for your career.
