Albany NZRC CORE Advanced for Health Professionals

CORE Advanced is for Dental and Health Professionals that may be expected to manage a resuscitation event. Professionals this may represent are experienced Nurses, Anaesthetic Technicians, General Practitioners, Dentists providing sedation, Paramedics, and Registrars.

Learning outcomes

The practical session is a full day (8hrs) finishing with a written assessment. Reading the reference book is strongly recommended. Practical skills of resuscitation Scenarios for the management of collapse Initial approach to trauma Medical emergencies Written assessment comprising of multi-choice questions Awareness of intra osseous access, ECGs and manual defibrillation, wave form capnography (as required). Anaphylaxis - Use of Adrenaline for those authorised to administer Please note: NZRC have regulations around minimum and maximum student numbers in order to run these courses.
