Learning outcomes

This lecture delivers a practical overview of posterior injectable composite techniques, focusing on when and how to use injectables predictably. The posterior composite filling is the cornerstone of everyday general practice. This session covers the benefits of modern injectable composite, key factors in material selection, and the clinical considerations when using injectables versus traditional packable composites. Discussion will be made about preparation design, adhesive protocols for predictable bonding and guidance on selecting matrix systems to achieve tight contacts and proper contour. Strategies for incremental and anatomical build up are outlined, along with approaches for managing challenging situations such as deep subgingival margins, back-to-back Class II restorations, and cervical lesions. The goal is to provide clinicians with clear, repeatable workflows for efficient and excellent posterior composite restorations.
