To be accepted on this course you will be required to submit evidence of your sedation experience, case load, and staffing. There is pre-reading required. The course involves lectures, simulations, self testing stations and a course examination. There is a compliance requirement post course that must be fulfilled prior to being approved to proceed to purchase pumps and be certified to carry out TCI sedation. Current SST certification and Resus training for you and your staff are a pre-requisite. TCI sedation requires a team, and your team should attend with you.

Learning outcomes

Learn the theory, methodology and techniques of TCI sedation Learn the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of Propofol and Remifentanyl to provide mild to moderate dental sedation.
