This session introduces new-graduate dentists to practical strategies for maintaining physical and mental wellbeing throughout a demanding clinical career. AJ will draw on her background in postural alignment, functional movement, strength conditioning, and nervous system regulation to help attendees understand the physical toll of dental work and how to proactively manage it. The session will also explore the distinction between stress and burnout, helping attendees recognise early warning signs and apply strategies to build resilience before burnout sets in.

Alana Joe Bachelor of Health Science

AJ is a movement and rehabilitation specialist with over a decade of experience in postural alignment, strength-based conditioning, and injury rehabilitation. After two decades in the corporate world, she completed a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Sport and Exercise Science. AJ's coaching integrates posture assessment, functional movement training, strength development, and nervous system regulation strategies, with a particular focus on building strength, resilience, and long-term wellbeing — insights that translate directly to the physical demands faced by clinicians.
