Be the Meerkat not the banana - dental injury prevention. Musculoskeletal pain is a significant occupational health issue amongst dentists. The most frequently affected areas include the neck, shoulders and back with pain and/or musculoskeletal disorders caused by prolonged static posture, repetitive movements and poor positioning in the dental practice. To mitigate risk, dentists are encouraged to adopt ergonomic practices, use assistive tools and engage in physical activity to maintain good posture.
