Synopsis: In oral rehabilitation, one of a true challenge is to successfully restore the anterior segment, the difficulty being to respect or enhance the function without compromising the aesthetics or vice versa. First a thorough understanding of the characteristics and roles of the anterior teeth is primordial. Then, through clinical cases, the respective aspects of function affecting treatment options, preparation design, and material selection will be discussed.
