Wellington NZRC CORE Advanced

CORE Advanced is for Dental and Health Professionals that may be expected to manage a resuscitation event. Professionals this may represent are experienced Nurses, Anaesthetic Technicians, General Practitioners, Dentists providing sedation, Paramedics, and Registrars. The practical session is a full day (8hrs) finishing with a written assessment. Reading the reference book is strongly recommended.

Learning outcomes

Practical skills of resuscitation Scenarios for the management of collapse Initial approach to trauma Medical emergencies Written assessment comprising of multi-choice questions Awareness of intra osseous access, ECGs and manual defibrillation, wave form capnography (as required). Anaphylaxis - Use of Adrenaline for those authorised to administer.
