Surgery vs Non-Surgery

This session will cover the cause of periodontal disease and a discussion of disease modifiers as well as the rationale for cause-related therapy. James will discuss how we determine whether we undertake surgical vs. non-surgical treatment and the various other the various treatment options available such as: Excisional Periodontal Therapy, Access Flap Procedures, Osseous Surgery, Mucogingival Therapy and Regenerative Therapy.

Be able to identify and understand the causes of periodontal disease, disease modifiers, rationale for cause-related therapy, how surgical versus non-surgical periodontal treatment is determined and the various other treatment options available.
