Dr Tony Weir
Tony Weir graduated with Bachelor of Dental Science (1st Class Honours) from the University of Queensland in 1983, followed by a Master of Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) from the University of Adelaide in 1991. He has worked in a private orthodontic practice from 1991-present, along with holding several other roles and being involved in postgraduate research. These include being an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland since 2017, a Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide from 2019, and a Honorary at the University of Otago. He has produced 33 publications on clear aligners to date. Married with 3 adult children, when he is not spending too much time on research, he likes to run ultramarathons, hike in jungles, mountains and deserts, and spend as much time as possible in Wanaka.
