Divya grew up in Wellington and moved to Dunedin to pursue a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After working as a dentist for four years in Wellington and Auckland, she returned to Dunedin for three years of specialist orthodontic training, graduating in 2018. A member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists and the New Zealand Dental Association, Divya runs a private practice at Thorndon Orthodontics and has been part of the Hutt Hospital multidisciplinary team since 2019, managing craniofacial conditions like cleft lip and palate.
