Learning outcomes

This course will provide hygienists with practical tools and clinical strategies they can apply immediately in practice, helping them to deliver confident, evidence-informed care for patients with more complex periodontal and implant-related conditions.

Dr Richard Longbottom BD (NZ) MS (USA) FITI

Richard Longbottom, graduated from the University of Otago and went into general practice in Christchurch then Auckland. In 1998, Richard was accepted into the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA, for the three year Masters program in Implantology and Periodontology. Richard recommenced private practice in Remuera in 2001. Richard has also consulted as a visiting specialist periodontist at Dr Rosenberg’s Practice in Malvern, Melbourne between 2008 and 2013. Richard lectures internationally to dentists, dental hygienists and dental therapists.
