Mr Federico Pelizza Dental Prosthetist
Dental Prosthetist specialising in crown and bridge restorations and digital impression workflows
This trainer-led session develops hands-on clinical competency in digital impression workflows for crown and bridge restorations. Delivered with a live trainer — either in person at the participant's practice or virtually with the participant scanning in real time — participants apply digital impression technique using their own intraoral scanning equipment. Content covers tooth preparation assessment, tissue management, full-arch scanning sequence, and real-time error identification and correction within crown and bridge workflows.
Evaluate tooth preparation styles and marginal design to determine suitability for digital intraoral scanning and CAD/CAM fabrication. Demonstrate proper tissue retraction and moisture management techniques (cord, paste, laser) to expose subgingival and equigingival finish lines prior to scanning. Execute an accurate full-arch intraoral scanning sequence, including proper wand orientation, depth control, and digital bite registration. Identify and rectify common scan artifacts, digital voids, and distortion errors using built-in software evaluation tools before submitting cases.
