Annalene Weston presents what is Consent, and how do I know if I have it?
Tune into this webinar series which is designed to build on the communication skills crucial to everyday practice. The sessions will look at communication from different perspectives and catering to who you are speaking with. There will be chances to explore how to build clearer, more empathetic conversations with patients. Improved communication within the dental team will create smoother collaboration, and allow for personal growth and development. Together, these topics form a practical, skills‑focused programme that helps dentists communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
Consent is a critical part of dental practice and probably, the most important conversation we ever have with a patient, but is the message we’re transmitting always the message our patients receive? And what happens if it is not. What is consent anyway? Who can give it and when? And who can’t? Consent features as the prominent underpinning factor in many if not all complaints, and this presentation will consider what consent is, and is not and critically, how we can tell if we have it, and from the right person(s).
