This workshop focuses on clarifying the diagnosis and classification of periodontal diseases, with practical applications for everyday practice, and explores various treatment modalities and prognosis for periodontally compromised teeth.

Learning outcomes

Participants will also gain key insights into surgical flap management and minimally traumatic tooth extractions, with hands-on techniques for improved clinical outcomes.

Dr Michael Danesh-Meyer BDS MDS(perio)

Dr Danesh-Meyer graduated with his BDS (with credit) and MDS (with distinction) from University of Otago, School of Dentistry in Dunedin. He worked as a specialist in dental implants and periodontics in Dunedin and Christchurch prior to his departure to the USA. He lectures extensively, both nationally and internationally and presents numerous hands-on training programs including live surgical demonstrations on the topics of dental implants and advanced periodontal therapies including regenerative techniques.

Dr Andrew Liaw BDS Specialist Periodontist

Dr Andrew Liaw completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at James Cook University in Cairns in 2016 and has worked all over Australia in both public and private practice. He was awarded Honours for his research in antibiotics in non-surgical periodontal therapy and later enrolled into a three-year specialist degree in Periodontology at the University of Queensland.
