The relieve of pain that brought the patient to the dental practice in the first place or providing a suitable painless treatment is one of the discriminating elements that makes a patient judge his own dentist. Therefore, pain is also a key aspect in ensuring adequate "patient retention", especially in nowadays. Oro-facial pain is one of the reasons that bring patients to the dentist, that is somehow the first filter of this problem, quite often with not enough skill to manage this problem. During this lecture we will discuss how pain is perceived, how to perform anesthesia correctly by knowing better the different anesthetic molecules and the right anatomical landmarks.

CPD Course in Bali, Indonesia How an Endodontist and a Prosthodontist Approach the Same Problem The single tooth is the foundation of restorative dentistry. But it can present some of the toughest tests in dentistry. What’s causing that pain and how can I work it out - pulp, perio, fracture, occlusion, something else entirely? Can I do the endo? And can I restore it? And will it look good? And will it last? Or should I think of something else? If you want to make the perfect diagnosis every time; if you want to find that ninth canal and conquer it; if you want to restore the hopeless tooth; if you want to know what to do and how to do it without fail; if you want to create results that will be so achingly beautiful, they will bring tears of joy - well, frankly, we can’t really help. But if you would like the benefit of more than 75 years of experience and encouragement and be entertained by an interactive program involving us and you, then this must be just about the best, most enjoyable way to further your dental education. Topics include Diagnosis of odontgenic and nonodontogenic causes of pain Radiographic interpretation from small films to OPGs to CBCT Avoiding and dealing with endodontic complications Instrumentation and obturation Perforations Resorption Fractured teeth. When to consider surgical endodontics Restoration of the endodontically treated tooth When to restore and when to replace Making bonded ceramics work Getting the best aesthetic and functional result whether crown, veneer, inlay/onlay, bridge or implant Learning Objectives One simple objective - complete mastery of every single tooth situation.
